Grow More Fruit with Mason Bees!

Mason bees are powerful spring pollinators, active
when fruit trees and early spring gardens are bursting with blooms. As they
move from blossom to blossom collecting loose pollen on their bellies, they
spread pollen from flower to flower. Better pollination can mean more fruit
from the trees you already grow.

When They Emerge & How to Set Up

Simply set up your bee house, put your emergence tube on top
of the nest block, remove tape from the tape covering the hole on the emergence
tube and watch your bees emerge when temperatures reach 55 degrees. Watch our video for a step-by-step guide on setting up your mason bee kit.

You Clean: Care for Your Own Bees

Hosting your own mason or leafcutter bees means taking
responsibility for their seasonal care and cleaning. Nesting materials can look
perfectly healthy from the outside while predators and disease are hidden
inside.

Opening and cleaning your nesting materials each year allows you to harvest
healthy bees, remove threats like pollen mites, Houdini flies, wasps and
chalkbrood, and provide clean nesting materials for the next generation.

Healthy bees start with a clean bee house.
