YOU CLEAN
Get two seasons of pollination with mason bees in spring and leafcutter bees in summer. Mason bees pollinate fruit trees, berries and early blooms, then leafcutter bees take over as summer flowers and vegetables come to life.

Everything you need for spring and summer pollination in one kit:
You don’t need two bee houses to enjoy spring and summer pollination. Mason bees and leafcutter bees use the same shelter house at different times of the year. Start with mason bees in spring, where they pollinate fruit trees, berries and early-blooming flowers. Once their 6–8 week season is over, simply remove their nesting block and replace it with your leafcutter bee block when summer temperatures arrive. Leafcutter bees then take over, pollinating vegetable gardens, flowers and other summer blooms.
One bee house. Two bees. Two seasons of pollination.
Why choose just one season of pollination? The Pollinator Kit gives you mason bees for spring and leafcutter bees for summer, helping pollinate your yard throughout the growing season.
Mason bees get to work when fruit trees, berries and early spring flowers are blooming. As summer arrives, leafcutter bees take over, pollinating vegetable gardens, flowers and other summer blooms.
Start with your mason bees in spring. Set up your bee house and nesting block, place the emergence tube on top, remove the tape covering the hole, and watch your mason bees emerge when temperatures reach around 55°F.
After their 6–8 week season, remove the mason bee nesting block. When summer temperatures are consistently 75°F or warmer, swap in your leafcutter bee nesting block for summer pollination.
Watch our video for a step-by-step guide to setting up your Pollinator Kit and switching from spring to summer bees.
Hosting your own mason or leafcutter bees means taking responsibility for their seasonal care and cleaning. Nesting materials can look perfectly healthy from the outside while predators and disease are hidden inside.
Opening and cleaning your nesting materials each year allows you to harvest healthy bees, remove threats like pollen mites, Houdini flies, wasps and chalkbrood, and provide clean nesting materials for the next generation.
Healthy bees start with a clean bee house.
