’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the yard,

Not a bee was awake they were sleeping quite hard.
The mason bee homes were stored till spring air,
While bees dreamed of flowers and pollen to share.
The bees were all nestled in cocoon beds tight,
Hibernating soundly through winter’s cold night.
While visions of blossoms and flowers ahead
And golden warm pollen danced in their heads.
And we, with our gardens tucked in for the year,
Had settled right down as the frost settled near.
A long winter’s nap for the bees and us too,
Resting, restoring, renewing what’s new.
Now, MASON! now, LEAFCUTTER! now, BUMBLE and HONEY!
On, BUTTERFLY wings — they’ll be buzzing so sunny!
To the gardens! the orchards! to blossoms that call!
Now pollinate! pollinate! pollinate all!
Thank you for hosting and caring with heart,
For building bee gardens and doing your part.
For taking the steps to keep habitats right,
So bees can emerge healthy, strong, and in flight.
So as winter lingers and bees hibernate tight,
May your days be cozy and your season be bright.
Spring will return of that we can be sure,
With gentle, hardworking pollinators pure.
Merry Christmas to all, and to bees tucked in tight,
From your Rent Mason Bee Team
Sweet dreams and goodnight!
