How You Host It
Give the kit. If someone already gave you this kit, register the gift so we know the address and which species to send.
When It Ships
You can request a ship window, or we watch weather and ship (default). Weather is a suggestion. This is a request, not a booked week. Exact calendar dates are not published.
Mason bees work spring fruit. They ship February through April. Last mason ships are the last week of April. Leafcutter bees work summer vegetables and late bloom. Washington pickup is around early June. July is flight. Mid-August is late in that summer window.
If blooms or temps are not ready when the kit arrives, fridge-hold instructions exist.
Fall Care
The hard part is fall, not the spring release. Skipping the clean is how pollen mites, Houdini flies, and chalkbrood take the next generation.
We do not offer a hatch or nesting guarantee. Weather, bloom, and placement matter. A filled block is not the only sign of a season.
